What's the difference between Automator and Commander?
Automator is the automation engine: scheduled script execution, runbooks, server groups, automatic logs, and the REST API. Commander adds S.E.N.T.R.I — the AI agent — on top, with its skills, approvals, and scopes.
How does S.E.N.T.R.I connect to an AI model?
Bring your own key: connect your OpenRouter API key (BYOK) and pick any model, use your Claude subscription through the Claude Code integration, or run fully local with Ollama at no extra cost.
Does the agent need my approval for everything?
That's your call. You choose which skills require approval before they run, and the agent only reaches the hosts inside the scopes you define. Interactive sessions ask you in the chat; scheduled prompts run unattended within those same scopes — with a full history of every action either way.
Do I need to install anything on my servers?
No agents to deploy. ServerEngine connects over WinRM with SSL/TLS or SSH with key authentication, using the credentials from your encrypted local store.
